In Today’s article on Youtube mini we will be talking about Why does it show different subscribers on the YouTube app and YouTube Studio for my channel?

We all were on youtube and most of us started our youtube journey and reached a certain level on youtube but we can’t understand the fact that the number of subscribers was every time different in the youtube app and youtube studio.

So, in this article, we will let you know why this happens to us.

Let’s get started.

Why does it show different subscribers on the YouTube app and YouTube Studio for my channel?

There are many times when I saw this happening with us also where the youtube app shows that you have 17.5 k subs and the youtube studio app shows 17.6 k subscribers.

So, why did this happen?

The answer to the question is:

The data shown in the youtube studio analytics are accurate as compared to the youtube app because the subscriber count and the revenue data fluctuate every time when youtube validates it so what youtube suggests is that to wait for a few days or 48hours to see the real data on your youtube channel.

And as you know in Youtube Mini we didn’t say anything without proof so we had a small conversation with team youtube and here is the proof of it.

Why does it show different subscribers on the YouTube app and YouTube Studio for my channel?
Why does it show different subscribers on the YouTube app and YouTube Studio for my channel?

For example:

Let’s say you had uploaded a video and your channel is monetised.

When a viewer gets a suggestion of one of your videos then he/she might watch it and if he/she likes it they will either like the video or subscribe to your channel.

And if you had a monetised channel they will see the ad.

So, sometimes what happens is due to some mistakes the viewers subscribe to your channel or click on the ads by mistake.

Then that click or subscribe has been counted on youtube studio or youtube app but at the same time if the user did unsubscribe to your channel then that will reflect after some time in your youtube studio app then in your youtube channel.

That’s the reason why the data of youtube subscribers were shown differently in the youtube app and in the youtube studio.

And when we come to revenue sometimes you will get to see that some of your videos suddenly started more revenue but after some time it decreases.

So, in this case, there are chances that there are unwanted clicks on the ads due to which it happens that’s why the data differs after some time in youtube studio.

FAQ:

Why is my subscriber count different on youtube studio?

Because it takes time to update the real-time data for youtube on the youtube app as well as on youtube studio that’s why you will get to see the difference in the number of subscribers.

Why does youtube studio show different views?

Because the time taken by youtube to update the data on the app is actually 48 hours as they had said in their tweet.

Why youtube studio shows more subscribers?

Because the actual number of subscribers will be increased first in the youtube studio in 48 hours and then it will start reflected in the youtube app.

Conclusion

So, this is all for Why does it show different subscribers on the YouTube app and YouTube Studio for my channel?
